There are a lot of searchable answers for controlling the firewall from the command line or a script out there, but none of them work in Mac OSX High Sierra. Do you need to restart, or is there simply a daemon you have to quit and relaunch? Don't get me wrong, I think Brickhouse is a good tool, but I think Brickhouse is aimed at a different audience than mine. Displaying film-related metadata columns in non-"Movies" folders in the Finder, Share contacts from your Mac via iMessage or AirDrop. I have decided to add a firewall to my computer and have heard of applications such as 'Little Snitch' which help to give me control of inbound and outbound connections on my mac running macOS Sierra. Wait until you see a spinning globe on the screen along with a message that says 'Starting Internet Recovery'.
